AI summer program

Are you curious about A.I. research? Would you like to build your own cutting-edge A.I. technology? Would you like to get published? If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, then our AI Summer Program may be right for you!

SPECIAL: Students residing in San Gabriel Valley, CA can receive additional in-person guidance for FREE! Email hannah@thecuriocat.com for more details!

WHO:

Our AI Summer Program is being offered to students with a strong interest in publishing their own A.I. research! The recommended prerequisites are pre-calculus and basic Python coding. Our curious and motivated students have 50+ publications and contributed lectures and have been named finalists for both the Regeneron Science Talent Search and the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair.

WHAT:

In this 6-week course, students will use AI technology to build the world’s fastest computer simulations. Past simulations have included tsunamis, coastal erosion, room acoustics, sonar, volcanoes, gene expression, wind tunnels, bridge design, fracture mechanics, nanotechnology, and more. Students will also learn scientific writing in order to draft their own research articles. UPDATE: Please click here for the course syllabus.

WHEN:

Please see the schedules listed below.

WHERE:

All deliverables will take place over Zoom.

WHY:

The A.I. revolution is here! Virtually all corporations and researchers are increasingly relying on A.I. to make major technological breakthroughs. According to the University of Oxford, the demand for AI professionals is far outstripping supply. Indeed, “the high demand for their skills leads to candidates with next to no experience being hired for senior roles. More than half of Tech-AI professionals have less than six years’ experience, compared to an average of 10 years for all IT jobs. In some states, there are more than 10 job ads per AI professional.” With A.I. technology taking off like a rocket ship, there is no better time to get started than now!

HOW:

Your instructor Derek will demonstrate graduate level techniques using only Google Colab and Microsoft Excel! No other material is necessary!

COURSE DELIVERABLES:

This is an educational course in AI simulations. The course deliverables are the following:

  • 30 hours of lectures
  • 1-on-1 tutoring (optional)
  • workshops
  • Bonus in-person guidance for students residing in San Gabriel Valley, CA

Students who complete a research article will receive the following services for FREE:

  • a thorough review of your presentation slides or poster
  • professional LaTeX typesetting
  • poster formatting, as needed
  • step-by-step guidance on the article submission process
  • mock audience Q&A

While over 90% of students have gone on to publish their own research articles, this is not guaranteed. Please refer to our Student Accomplishments to see past student results.
